The implementation of the theoretical plastic shrinkage ratio does not provide the right container at the 1^st injection. Some steel sizing adjustments are inevitable for obtaining the right part dimensions, therefore Plastisud can make this optimization in the same location as it's dedicated pilot mold manufacturing cell (unique to this industry) very quickly. Hence Plastisud can support your new IML container and lids developments, and provide you optimized sample parts within 12 weeks.
 

Plastisud invested a few years ago in an IML prototyping test cell providing sample parts faster and cheaper than traditional methods. This test cell incorporates a high performance injection molding machine with dedicated IML robot.

From this prototyping stage, Plastisud has gained experience of parts with wall thicknesses less than 0.35mm (0.0137”) and L/T ratios of 340. More importantly we have translated this pilot mold experience into high cavitation stack molds with full performance mold guarantees.

And that is not all, we can fine tune, commission and fully optimize your production mold in one of our test machines equipped with robot. Or better still we can perform a full systems integration of mold, machine and robot to your specification.
